Every year we like to take this time to reflect on the past year.  We meet so many wonderful people through our practice and are pleased to be able to help change their lives as they touch ours.  We wish you all the very best in the coming year and hope that you too have something to give thanks for.

As if childhood was not cruel enough, this little girl has gotten more than her fill. At only nine years old, little Kelsey was mauled by a pit bull. Her mother watched in terror as her daughter’s face was locked in the dog’s powerful jaws.

Despite the efforts of the emergency room doctors, Kelsey was left with a prominent scar on the inside area of her nose, obstructing some of her sight.
To make matters worse, kids at school began teasing little Kelsey.

Not wanting to see her child suffer any more, Kelsey’s mom brought her into AnewSkin Dermatology to see what Dr. Rosio could do. She had heard about Dr.
Rosio’s Heal One Wound Foundation and how he has helped repair children’s scars throughout the world. Within days, Dr. Rosio was able to reduce the scar and restore a smile to Kelsey’s beautiful face.

We are grateful for having met Kelsey and her family and hope that they will
have plenty to give thanks for this year.

Helping Others
Every year, Dr. Rosio helps numerous individuals and families by providing free skin-related services to those with special needs. Fifteen years ago, Dr. Rosio began the Heal One Wound Foundation (“HOW”) and has helped children and adults throughout  the world to repair disfiguring skin-related issues.

Additionally, Dr. Rosio has helped firefighters and police officers who have suffered disfiguring injuries to the skin, as well as domestic violence survivors who have been disfigured by an intimate partner or spouse.  If you or someone you know could benefit from any of these programs, call our office to schedule a consultation.
